The fold up power rack came from an idea to build a squat rack we (Again Faster) could travel with on the road. I developed a mechanism to mount to the side of our trailer, for short drop-in style workouts. The intent for the rack was to fold off of the side of the trailer. 

The project soon switched gears to become a consumer product. The CrossFit® community had rapidly started opening boxes in small spaces to conserve capital. They needed something that could stow away when not in use.  My first test facility was in Hong Kong, China. The training space was extremely limited, 500sq/ft. They loved it! They have since opened two more facilities with Again Faster gear. The unit is producing great sales for the company and was difficult to keep in stock during early production. The unit also allows for a home user to mount the rack in their garage without take up valuable parking space.
